Thanks to the Val d’Orta railway association, this line, Asciano-Monte Antico, abandoned in the 1990s has returned to its ancient splendor; you can admire among other unique places such as: the Abbey of Monte Oliveto Maggiore, the medieval castle of San Giovanni d’Asso, Montalcino with its famous hills covered with vineyards, the village of Castelnuovo dell'Abate.
Moreover, in each excursion the train stops in a different station of the Asciano-Monte Antico railway where travelers can get off, visit the town and the neighboring ones. We often organize lunches and markets where you can taste and buy the typical products of the area.
