Masked Courses
In Viareggio the Carnival is an artistic and cultural tradition since 1873, which is celebrated thanks to Five Great Masked Courses throughout the period to admire the work of over 25 artisan companies and over 250 creative professionals who with their work give life to real traveling masterpieces.

- Saturday 9 February: inauguration ceremony and 1st Masked Opening Course
- Sunday 17 February: 2nd Masked Course
- Saturday 23 February: 3rd Masked Course
- Sunday 3rd March: 4th Masked Course
- Tuesday 5th March 5th Masked Closing Course At the end of the announcement of the winners and fireworks show
